Flying Under the Radar
You go to the very core of me,
where no-one else can go.
You slipped in under the radar,
you were flying so dangerously low.
But it wasn’t till I saw
the sunlight glinting on your wing,
that I could see you weren’t the enemy
and it was safe to let you in.

The appliance of science
is sometimes very odd.
First they tell us one thing,
as though it came from God.
And then they change their minds
on this “immutable” belief,
which sometimes causes laughter
and sometimes causes grief.
So should we query
any theory
that we are presented with?
For maybe its reality
or maybe pure myth!
To give and receive
is life’s circular flow.
It always was,
and is eternally so.
Who can tell by the wrapping,
just what is inside?
So gifts must be opened
and not be denied.
“As Saint Teresa of Avila
wrote, words ‘prepare the soul and make it ready and move it to affection --
give it light and make it happy and tranquil.’ I hope that all who read this
wonderful collection will recognize poetry that achieves precisely that sacred
prompting.”
